Motor Vehicle Accident Law. Our attorneys are aggressive about handling your claim for injuries following a vehicle accident, whether it involved a car, truck, motorcycle, or you traveling as a passenger or pedestrian. From experience, we know that some cases should be targeted for settlement. Others will require a multi-week trial. We will evalute your case for the best possible recovery. Our Goal: Your Peace of Mind. You deserve to know your rights following a motor vehicle accident. Our automobile accident attorneys will sit down with you and answer all your questions. An attorney (not a paralegal) will discuss your case with you in detail, free of charge. You will come away from our meeting with a full undertanding of your case and some peace of mind. Experience Pays. An experienced trial attorney can tell you how a jury will look at certain kinds of evidence, such as the medical opinions as stated in your records and/or the type of damage to your car (bumper, frame, winshield, hood). The above considerations become crucial when you are negotating a settlement with the other driver's insurance carrier. Don't assume you cannot recover if you were involved in a prior history, whether it involved you as driver, passenger, or pedestrian. Also do not assume that a jury will fail to take your case seriously just because you were driving a large SUV, truck, or other large vehicle that sustained little damage. Be advised that the limited tort option can substantially limit your rights; however, there are exceptions. Full Tort / Limited Tort. The extent of your recovery for an automobile accident may depend on whether you selected the "full tort" option. That said, several exceptions exist to "limited tort." You should speak to an attorney about the exceptions to limited tort and whether any exception could apply to your collision case. The Other Driver Was Not Insured... If the other driver is not insured or his coverage is limited, we can explore your rights against your insurance carrier for what is called uninsured or underinsured coverage, UM/UIM. Typically, a UM or UIM case will proceed through arbitration and we can help maximize your recovery. We Will Prepare Your Case. Our automobile accident attorneys will obtain your medical records to further evaluate the value of your dog bite case. In particular, we will obtain your medical, chiropractic, and physical therapy records including diagnostic tests. Our personal injury lawyers will consider your pre-existing conditions (if any), and we'll consider the full extent of your new injury, such as a aggravation, sprain, strain, fracture (broken bone), or otherwise. Our Beaver County and/or Allegheny County lawyers will also put his or her insurance carrier on notice of the collision. Our law firm will obtain your medical, chiropractic, and physical therapy records for a more thorough analysis of your claim. We shall consider whether you suffered from a preexisting injury and whether the vehicle collision aggravated it. We'll communicate to you the expected monetary value of any new sprain, strain, broken bone/fracture, or other injury. We Will Investigate the Crash. Our automobile accident attorneys will contact the other driver and/or the driver's insurance carrier and obtain records through discovery. We'll go to the location of the car accident ourselves. We'll look at whether an airbag failed, or whether the roadway was unsafe from the unnatural diversion of water, for example. We'll interview witnesses and fully evaluate the case to best support the allegations you are making. We'll consider whether a faulty airbag, tire or tires, or motorcyle helmet were a factor. We'll also consider whether the other driver was speeding, ran a red light, failed to yeild the right of way. Negotiating Settlement. Our personal injury attorneys will work to convince the other driver or his insurance carrier that car or trucking accident happened as you say, and that you are entitled to the money you seek. We can help negotiate down the value of any unpaid medical bills in certain circumstances and/or try to prevent unpaid bills from going into collections. We will commence litigation and aggressively pursue your vehicle accident claim as your zealous advocate. Rely On Our Courtroom Experience. Our lawyers have handled personal injury cases at all levels of litigation in Pennsylvania: magistrate (district justice), compulsory arbitration, UIM arbitration, UM arbitration, jury trials, superior court appeals, appeals to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and federal court cases. We've conducted out of state depositions, depositions for use at trial, we've handled cases throughout West Virginia. You can rely on our experience to know what kind of evidence is most important to maximize the value of your claim. For example, the type of property damage to the cars (such as damage to the paint, or glass, or windshield, or frame) can be important. Do not assume that a small amount of damage to your vehicle will preclude you from recovery, especially if your vehicle is designed to withstand impact. Our Wide Geographic Area of Practice.
